Message to “Anonymous” related to my position on Turf:

Please identify yourself, either here or on my own campaign website at www.MikeEvansCheshire.com.

I would be happy to discuss turf or any issue with you or anyone at anytime but I will NOT respond to anyone identified as “Anonymous”!

Why?? I have no idea if you are one person or more than one person or if you are even a voter in Cheshire.

I am guessing that you are actually one or more of the Republican candidates for Town Council who prefers to hide your true identity or identities.

As you may already know, I will never compromise my own principles for any reason. Obviously I am hoping to receive many votes on November 3rd. However. I am not willing to engage in “Politics as Usual” tactics in this campaign or at anytime in the future. We may agree to disagree and that is certainly fine with me anytime.

Please identify yourself — publicly or privately — and I will be HAPPY to communicate with you using any medium you prefer!

Thanks for fixing the link to the “Waterbury Republican” story.

I am VERY hopeful that your blog DOES NOT allow anyone to pretend to be ME or anyone else. It appears that you have extremely poor controls over the content on your own site. I proudly signed my own name – twice- this morning.

I would be happy to discuss these blog issues with you anytime and anywhere. The best way to reach me is on my own campaign website at: www.MikeEvansCheshire.com. My 12 year old son, Zachary, wrote all the HTML code for this website and I am very proud of him.

This website includes my dedicated campaign cell phone number, my dedicated campaign email and links to my Facebook and Twitter sites.

In addition, I have started my own blog which I plan to start using more effectively this week-end. Unlike your blog, MY blog has 2 very important rules and controls:

1) Posters must state their name. I will NOT accept anonymous blogs. If you want to exercise your “free speech” then please tell me who your are. I have a system to confirm that all posters are using their own names and not pretending to be someone else.Is this logical?

2) Comments must be positive or they will NEVER be posted on MY blog. Obviously we can certainly agree to disagree and I look forward to spirited debate like we all saw at the Town Coucil meeting this past Tuesday night.

I find it curious that you, Tim, neglected to post any public comment video from Tuesday’s meeting. For over 60 minutes voter after voter loudly expressed their displeasure with your party’s attempt to send OUR turf money back to the state. Why the silence?

Finally, I will clarify my own comment in my last post referring to “your own silence”. I was merely ackowledging that you have no system to prevent personal attacks against ANYONE including your fellow Councilor, Laura DeCaprio. Leaving such mean spirited personal attacks on your blog gives the appearance of your own approval. Thus, YOUR silence!

This town, and actually the entire nation, is SO TIRED of politics as usual. It is time to “Think — and ACT — differently.

I had the good fortune to attend the awesome presentation of Rachel’s Challenge at Dodd last evening. This “challenge” should be the model of behavior for all of us running for office, not only for the last 18 days of this campaign, but for the next 2 years and beyond. Thanks for listening!!

PLEASE fix your link to this mornings “Waterbury Republican” newspaper article which criticizes your “Blog Style”!

The public deserves to read this VERY important article. I am sure that your “broken link” was an innocent mistake.

I am strongly offended that YOUR own blog permits such unethical, dishonest, and mean spirited personal attacks on ANYONE! You compound your own irresponsibility by your silence. This tells me, the reader, that you approve and condone these outrageous comments towards your fellow Councillor Laura DeCaprio.

I feel that “Freedom of Speech” from the 1ST Amendment is a lame explanation for your practice of allowing “anonymous posts”. In my opinion, you actually leave the public wondering if TIM WHITE is the ACTUAL anonymous blogger who is attacking Laura DeCaprio!
